BATHING IN THE HARBOUR - THE FRENCH HARBOUR BATH

Here we introduce two designs of harbour baths that could be built in towns with a marina or industrial port at their very centre, such as Marseille, La Rochelle, Brest, Saint-Malo or Le Havre.

 

• The 1st concept takes place directly in the cove of a marina. If the water quality allows it, being able to swim in the heart of a historic harbour can become the town's main attraction. The design features a reinforced floating structure, with an enclosed bathing area at its centre. Wide wooden decking surrounds the circular basin to provide a solarium for locals. 

 

• The 2nd concept varies between a harbour bath and a multi-purpose pontoon. It consists mainly of swimming pools of varying sizes and depths, as well as pontoons where boats can moor.
